    in my personal experience, with both DVI and VGA, i have seen bad things with cheap cables.

    broadcom has a range of products like all major vendors. how their chips are implemented can also make a difference.

    naw, i was just saying that the quality of the still image will only be on par if you use good cables.

    You will need good cables (for DVI *or* VGA) to achieve the clarity you have with an integrated display. For ghosting though, yeah it will be better no matter what.

    For home, Netgear should be fine. For a server, or a NIC with "teaming" features, $100 is cheap.
