I'm going to be purchasing a new system in a couple months, and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of where to buy it from. I want to buy all the parts and put it together myself, but I am looking for a place I can get everything from as a package. I don't want one that you configure...

The only things that open are Rundll32, windows messenger, point32 (intellipoint software), and aol instant messenger. I checked all this in msconfig.

I uninstalled everything except what I know works fine with it and it hasn't changed anything. Should I reinstall windows? I want to avoid that if possible, but if there's no other choice....

No its a full install (3rd time i've reinstalled it actually). Someone mentioned corrupting the Kernel32.dll file by putting their sub too close in another thread. Something like this may have happened. It can't be software because I tried the roll back or system restore or whatever its called...

I don't like the telnet program that comes with Win XP. It has some basic advantages, but not being able to save the servers that you log onto just pisses me off.
