    GA-M57SLI-S4 compatible RAM

BTW, the Corsair model listed (CM2X1024-6400C4) is rated @ 2.1v, as opposed to the mobo's demand for 1.8v RAM sticks. What gives? Thanks, -E-

    GA-M57SLI-S4 compatible RAM

Thanks Crappy, I already saw that list- was hoping for other recommendations, as there are only four 1 GB modules on the list. Any one with good experience with any Mushkin, OCZ, Geil or G. Skill RAM on this mobo? Thanks, -E-

    GA-M57SLI-S4 compatible RAM

I recently got the Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 and need to buy some RAM which will play nice with it. Was looking to get DDR2 800, but apparently the board supports 1.8v RAM, but there isn't any DDR2 800 1.8v RAM out there?? I assume the board won't get along with 1.9v RAM? Any thoughts...

    Using Ti4200 without a fan?

Well, I figured that much on my own- don't let my good looks fool you, I'm not that stupid... :P Nevertheless, was just wondering if someone has experience using these cards without the fan; My system isn't OC, is well ventilated and the Ti4200 doesn't run extremely hot- so perhaps it's...

    Using Ti4200 without a fan?

My Ti4200's fan is producing a lot (and do mean a LOT) of noise. Tried compressed air, oil, whatever- it's a lost case. Would it be o.k to run the card without the fan? My case is quite cool- around 35-37 degrees. Thanks, -E-

    AMD CPU frying motherboard?

Thanks for the reply Severian. I would've already done what you suggested, but I don't have a Socket A board I could test, and don't really want to buy one just for this purpose. Also, I can't RMA the CPU to AMD- I'm not in the states, I have to go through my local channel. -E-

    AMD CPU frying motherboard?

Thanks for the reply Fardringle. Thing is, I did send the CPU to the distributor, and they claim to have tested it. It's only logical that if it fried my mobo (which seems to be the case, as I can't boot it no matter what I do- am I wrong?) it would also fry the lab's mobo, right? Any...

    AMD CPU frying motherboard?

I'll try to make it short. 1. A friend has a Gigabyte mobo w/ Athlon 2600 CPU. He calls me up, the computer's making weird beeps. Upon booting the motherboard would sound a repeating high/low beep (which should indicate the CPU's damaged) and shutdown after 3-4 seconds. 2. I RMA the CPU...

    NF7-S SATA controller problems

Thanks for the reply. 1. Tried different SATA cables (at least 3-4) as well as different power cables. 2. Forgot to mention- this system has isn't (and has never been) overclocked. Anyone? -E-

    NF7-S SATA controller problems

I've been using the NF7-S mobo for a few years, without any problems. A few months ago I installed a new SATA HD (WD400KD), I've been using only IDE drives before. Things worked smoothly for a while, but then I experienced a strange anomaly- the SATA drive would suddenly disappear from the...
