The adapter properties shows 3072MB of Dedicated Video Memory: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/4079/gpu2z.png But still no idea why dxdiag reports 732MB.

Yesterday I benchmarked my system using 3DMark 11, I've scored 6500. Not bad, I've compared to other bench with similar systems and I am approximately in the middle. However, 3DMark reports my GPU has 1024MB o_O My specs are: Core i5 2500 stock GA-P67A-UD4-B3 Sapphire HD 7950 810/1250...

Hello everyone, I've just installed my new Sapphire HD7950 and dxdiag reports that the memory of the card is 738MB :confused: GPU-Z reports having 3GB though. I am a bit confused, can somebody explain why dxdiag shows I have 738MB only. Is everything OK? Here are the captures from GPU-Z...

The AMD 7870 & 7850 are launching on early March and fit in the 570 price range. If you don't have to buy the system right now, I would wait before getting a GTX 570.

May I ask why you need CrossFire if you're on a budget?

Try CoreAVC, it's one of the fastest H264 software decoders: http://corecodec.com/products/coreavc It worked quite well with my old system.
