I meant, I had earlier installed a 64bit OS, but for lack of options I had to go to 32Bit OS - probably i wasn't clear about that. Anyways will get back with the real error.
No first hand users here? Bit of a bummer... given the reviews, i thought there would be at least a few users of these here. Anyways will probably give them a shot, look promising to me.

it was something to do with the mobo... replaced it and the problem disappeared... not sure what lesson to take away from this though...
going by the suggestions and my own experience this could have been because of the hard disk itself, it could have been the power supply and eventually it was...
win 7 did install a version of the driver, but I was under the impression that the driver from the manufacturer, in this case Intel is the best? or atleast the best suited? ..isnt that the case?
Did that, but the driver installation fails saying something like the OS or hardware is not suported. For lack of options, installed a 32bit version right now, will try installing a 64bit version and come back with the exact error I am getting
