I am sure about the PAL to NTSC convertion on the TV. This is the reason I bought it.

I bought it yesterday. 1. It plays DVD, VCD, CD-R, haven't tried MP3 yet. 2. Plays NTSC and PAL on NTSC TV. 3. It is hackable. But no "secret menu", it works when you use "setup ,then vol up/down". 4. Doesn't work with CD-RW.

I spent so many hours to make it to work. It does work with WIN2K. Make sure you installed ASUS motherboard driver correctly.(Check control panel, sys mgr, IDE controller, you should see a VIA?(Intel? driver listed and Primary and Secondary IDE listed. Totally 3 lines) Good luck.
