From my experience with an LCD monitor the best picture I get is when the vid card res and monitor res are the same. I'm looking at widescreen monitors and there doesn't seem to be an exact match. Is there a way to disable the scaling on a WS monitor and accept the black bars around the picture...

From what I've gathered so far the mod is relatively simple, one pin of an IC through a pot to ground. I work with SMT stuff so the mod should not be too bad, just need a magnifying glass!

If you plan on doing any oc'ing make sure you get the 1.02 rev., it allows higher than 2.1v memory voltage. I just bought mine a few weeks ago from Newegg and still got the older 1.01 rev and of course my memory needs over 2.1v to go over 800mhz so I'm stuck.

Does anyone know how to set the fan speed in the registry? Right now I start Rivatuner to set the fan speed and use ATI-Tools for the overclocking. I'd like to get rid of the Rivatuner load. Thanks

Does anyone know if Chassis Fan 1/2 actually pwms the fan or it just monitors rpm ? There is a Q-Fan control but I see no verbage mentioning pwm'ing like it does on the cpu connector. Has anyone used Q-Fan for the cpu? It seems when I set for Performance mode the fan still runs at about half...
