After installing the latest geforce driver from nVidia for my videocard, my monitor goes into standby right after logging into Windows. I am forced to reboot in Safe Mode and uninstall the driver. Any ideas??? I've already tested other monitors and previous drivers! Thanks in advance!

I've noticed that a few days after installing Windows Vista, the OS stops remembering folder view settings. At one time I have Medium view" setting icons for the Control Panel window, and the next time I open it, its icons are on "Details view" setting. This problem happens with every window...

OK I`ve tested another video card, now the computer turns on but there is no post. So... With my video card, the computer does not turn on. Nothing happens. With another video card, the computer turns on but that is it. No beeps, nothing. Help!

I've already disabled any options in the BIOS related to this. Still no luck. The strange thing is that I only get this warning with Vista, and after resuming from standby.

The Vista Narrator and the voice options in BIOS are turned off. If it's of any help, I'm using an Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe MB.

Just noticed that the voice returns when I resume the computer from a low-power state mode. Help!

This problem started after I installed Vista. The strange thing is that the voice sounds like it comes from the pc internal speaker but in fact it comes from the speakers connected to my sound board. I can even turn the volume down... Very annoying indeed. Maybe it's saying "System fail...

After changing from Windows XP to Vista, a strange sintetized voice started to annoy me from time to time. I don't know in what situation it starts, and I can't understand what it says, but sounds something like "custom fail, reboot". It only happens in Vista and the voice keeps repeating itself...
