Most people who have heavy heatsinks don't really stand their computer. they let them lie flat on the ground and most don't even have a case. its probably a workstation setup or just the motherboard sitting on their table.
can't help you there bud. but sometimes speedfan isn't correct. sometimes it gives a stupid temp. that isn't connected to anything just a random temp. Example: aux. at 140C? wtfx. LOL thats shows on mine. if its at that rate. i should smell burning and stuff. i don't think you should worry too much.
Hey guys.
I'd just like to see all your opinions on this. What program would you use to consider your CPU hot or not? ...
cold? sounds good
hahah
okay. well im sure for one thing that TAT is a good program. but would you be looking towards your Core 0 and Core 1 temps or a temp of...
Thermal paste getting dried? ugh. not enough direct contact. on your CPU between your heatsink. Also.. your Vcore? too hi. honestly. i don't think 45 Idle is too high. a high idle would be about 50's . your idle is mild. i guess my E6300 @ stock volt. idles at about 37-40C. load is about 48-51C...
ugh your Core #0 should have a higher temp since that is the priority that the load goes on. that causes the temps to difference in 1-3 max. it shouldn't go over 5. if it does. you got a problem buddy. =] hope this helps.
wow. iunno ElNiNoSt0rM that seems a bit high for a decent overclock. what ram are you running and did you bump the Vdimm instead of the Vcore. i'm running my E6300 at 2.8Ghz. 400x7. and its at stock Vcore and 2.1Vdimm.. my idle 37-40 and load is about 48-51. also
zalmans are crazily...
Wow your Temps are like mine with AS5. LOL. mine are even better. but its wearing off now. Well i guess my other choice is the Freezer since i like the installation technology. i hate adding a bracket at the back , plus. removing the motherboard is a hassle.
your idle temp and load temp shouldn't drop that fast. mine takes about 20 seconds to go back to ~5 higher than idle. then about 2 mintues later it goes back to idle . i guess every comp varies. especially on the heatsink that you currently have installed. the speedfan xp and vista problem. i'm...
If you want to overclock. its the P5k. and if you wanna do some minor overclocking i'd pick the ds3r. and yes. the ds3r with ddr3 isn't going to be popular later on. as i assume and readign the forums about their excitement on it. yet. both of those are a good choice.
Oh hey. Xvys. what cooler are you on currently? . i just wanted to know. hehe =]... i guess my sweet spot is about 2.8-3ghz. since i'm on stock cooler atm. yeah. still running some orthos.
Well my e6300 wont budge. at 1.3125 Vcore . and 2.0V on RAM. FSB wont go further than 370? currently on stock cooler. but reapplied with AS5. should be good for a while until i decide to get a perfect heatsink. And I'm using a P5B . not deluxe. any suggestions anyone? B2. Stepping 6. Damn these...
