Phenom II 940 Stock, This huge bottleneck for 5870?

Does the M3A78-T support PCI-E 16x in all slots? Or basically are all the graphics PCI-E slots only 8x slots or worse? 8x 4x 8x? http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=PaJTmB4aZ9WAYnM6 I would imagine that the card would be limited if it were in a PCI-E 8x slot? Tried all the slots...
