If you are programmer, try flipping the screen so its verticle on the 2005, you will be able to see A LOT more lines of codes at once. I hate it when you gotta scroll up and down when debugging, so being able to see many lines of code at once is a good thing. But then dual monitor is still...
600$ wide screen LCD for just windows apps???? Be realistic, everyone wants to use it as a home theatre screen at the least, and that back light issue is definitely untolerable!!!
I heard some ppl had the back light problem with the 2001fp too. So that shouldnt affect your choice. Personally I got the fpw for movies and occasional games. Programming would be so sweet on this, with windows lined up side by side, or dual monitor :D
