Now I am confused. I thought the BX1500 model was NOT supposed to have the network ports, only the phone/fax ports.
The BR1500 is supposed to have the network ports.
Which one is it?
definately get the StreetAtlas to use as navigation. It does give voice prompts. The roads are updated far more often. I like the Topo software, but it does have it quirks. Mostly the roads aren't that accurate on it. Love the 3D terrain viewing. You can download satellite images from...
I beg to dffer. The Tsunami can be had with a power supply. Here is an example. It is $129. Didn't have time to search around but I bet you can find one for $120.
Newegg has it for $121 but it is $16 shipping.
Edit: Missed the part about Newegg and tax. ZipZoomFly has it for $123
I have both StreetAtlas and TopoUSA. All of the Street Atlas maps are about 600 megs. All of th Topo maps are about 4 gigs. I have a 1 gig SD card in my pocketpc and was going to put all of the maps on it. Program would always crash. It has to convert the maps somehow when it puts them on...
I have the Thermaltake Tsunami and love it, except for the fans that came with it. I just finished replacing a 120mm and the 92mm on the side panel. Thermaltake fans died after only 6 months. Replaced them with Panaflo's and had to drill new holes for the 120 because they used a bracket to...
You can connect either a laptop or a pda to it via bluetooth. I can connect my pocketpc to it, but I prefer the laptop because you can store all of the maps on it. With the pocketpc you have to upload the maps that you are going to use to it. Not good for a long trip. It works good locally...
I have this and it is great. It logs data points that you can download later. I have it hidden in my car. If someone else drives my car, I can download the points later and see exactly where they have been and how fast they were driving.
I have the 200gb version of that drive and it is great. I also have the new 160gb with NCQ and it is noticably louder than the 200. The drive you linked should be the same as the 200 and it is quieter than the newer drive.
I just got a similar system from Dell with a 19" ultrasharp and a 17" LCD TV for $1250. And I live in a state that Dell charges tax for. So no that is not a good deal. I ordered and paid for a 3.2 and they gave me a 3.4. By the way the system is very quiet. I cannot hear it at all sitting...
It is an NVIDIA decoder but the site says it is compatible with the Radeons. You can download it for $20 at Nvidia. I think I have heard of 9700's running media center. Try the forums here or here.
I do not know the difference between the two. I think they just about the same though. I just got the 1905 as part of a dimension deal. It is really bright and sharp. I wanted the 2001 but got this practically free as part of the deal.
The only problem I can see with running the 2005...
