Just got a new unit, my second 3225 from Costco. No worries in copying the POIs again, working in the first attempt. For US$149.99 this is a great price. I just could not resist it since I was planning in buying another 12 volt car adapter ($19) and another cradle + support (another $25 or...

Some accessories are starting to show up at the www.magellangps.com ... No prices, nor pictures, but the simple existence of the 3225 in this sections represents some good news. Also another good news is that the model 3225 has an entry into the Maestro main page, with pictures, etc. (at...

I agree with you that it does not make sense... I have not seen that myself... The only interesting thing I saw is that the TTS can change the way it says a name, depending on the routing you are coming from to a given street. For instance, XXXXX PKY can be read and " XXX PARKWAY" in many...

I just came back from Vacation in Canada... The 3225 worked VERY WELL... in Quebec and Ontario. Something interesting to mention... when driving in 401 West near Toronto, the unit steered me to switch from the Express lane to the collectors lane and then back to the Express lane a few...

As someone said before, the 6 million POI may be the combination of ALL POIs in the unit, US, Canada, Puerto Rico, etc. In any case, the ONLY way to use the 3225 is via Timekeeper's changes. The unit is almost useless with the original 1.3M POIs. You canot find the Costco you purchase it from... :-)

The ONLY reference to the 3225 in the Magellan web site is in the REGISTRATION. It shows up in the drop down list as a selectable model during the registration process.

Got an answer from the car adapter manufacturer. They stated they manufacture it under Magellan specs and that they could not sell it difrectly. They recommended me to call Magellan. I hope their web site post the Maestro 32xx sccessories soon.

I was able to check the firmware version by powering up the device INSIDE THE BLUE PACKAGE... just press hard the power on button and use the touch screen with care. Get to the information screen and you now for sure the firmware you are getting. Magellan could make it easier by updating the...

I agree that 4 references to MX does not make the FORUM a MX topic. :-) Since theree are over 500 MB of free space in the unit, why not TTS PLUS MX, Azores, Surinam, Madagascar, Antarctica, whatever can fit there??? Again, I always asked: "IF LEGAL" !!! Yes, Costco has the $20 off again...

Humm, it may be, but I do not thing it would be hard coded in the menu... It would make more programming sense for the application to parse the filetype that represents the MAPS and then build the menu on the fly... that would be a better programming technique...

I suppose we need someone with a 3220 to post the Map and POIs from Mexico.

Well, Mexico maps would be good too. That what has been removed form the 3225 to feature TTS instead. I do not think it would need to run from the SD card, since with the new POI file there is a lot of room left in the 2GB internal memory. Would the maps from another unit work? Not sure if this...
