I'm not sure why you would need ddr2-1066 RAM for the Q6600. Especially if you are not overclocking.
Unless you thought the 1066 FSB meant you needed 1066 RAM.
Even 533 MHz RAM would have been suitable if you weren't overclocking.

I also fail to see how you could determine that the odds of 3.33 are great but crap at 4.0.
The only way a 2.3 GHz Phenom would be faster than the E7300 would be when all three cores are utilized. Not only would the E7300 have an IPC advantage, they would also be higher clocked.
I wouldn't doubt OEMs eating them up though.
I personally think being a fanboy is stupid and I can't comprehend how someone can be brand loyal to something as impersonal as a computer component. I wouldn't care if it was made by McDonald's if it gave the best value.
