I'm between the p5k-e and the ds3p, and I noticed one of newegg's reviews complaining about their 8800gt blocking two sata ports on the p5k-e. Has anyone else noticed this problem, and does a card with a dual-slot cooler like the 8800gts block 4 ports? Thanks for your help.
This is going to sound like an odd request, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a USB PCI/PCI-E card that has 7 USB ports and an interal firewire header?
I have a case that has a firewire port, but I dont have a header for it on my motherboard. I'd rarely (if ever) use the firewire port...
If anyone else has been awaiting lenovo's l220x, they have some new info on it on their website: it's going to be available November 16, and the list price is now $499.

Meh, D-Sub input on all but one of the 22" means it won't even support hdcp.
The article references a Viewsonic 19" 1680x1050 panel; does anyone know which one it is?
Nvm, found it, it's called the VX1940w. Response time makes it sound like a TN tho
I called Acer today about the AL2052W and they told me it isn't going to be sold in the US. Also the AL2051W is officially discontinued and no US replacement is planned. I can't believe I have to spend $350 (or however much the 2007wfp goes for) if I want a decent 20" panel. Shoulda risked...
Why can I get 1920x1200 resolution on a (moderately expensive) 17" laptop, but I need to get a 24" lcd monitor to get that resolution for my pc? I'd like a 1080p capable ~20" monitor, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
I was jsut wondering if this was possible, and if someone could point me to the correct parts. This is the specific case I want it to fit in if it matters. Thanks for your help.
The Vcore at startup thing seems likely, except that I mostly have trouble on warm reboots. Cold starts pretty much always work fine.
How do I check board revision number?
I thought throttling only occurred at high temps? the max temp I get is like 58. Speedfan reports a clock speed of...
It doesn't do it at lower clock speeds. However, since this seems to be the machine's only hangup, I'm reluctant to lower clock speed further. (Already lowered it from 4.0 to 3.8 because of this issue, and matters improved decently)
It will barely get to 3.2 GHz on stock Vcore; it's set to...
I've run dual Prime95 (1 blended, 1 short) for 14 hours successfully, yet every so often, the computer won't post (no beeps) and my motherboard automatically unoverclocks my machine and reboots.

After a lot of fooling around, it turned out I had to actually tighten my memory timings (from 5-5-5-15 to 4-4-4-10) and put in a 1:1 ratio to get it to stable overclock to FSB 270MHz. Thanks for the suggestions.
