any folks from UCSD? apts. question for transfers

What's your cousin's budget for rent + utilities + food + cable etc? I pay about $800 a month for the 4 of those and I live about half a mile away from the campus. I take the shuttle which there're plenty of stops. If you want more info, shoot me a PM.

Poll: How much do you pay per day for food for yourself?

~8-10 bucks a day. If you're trying to cut down on food expenses, Taco Bell is your friend.

    UCSD vs UCSB

Yeah, of course I'm not going to make my decision based solely on what's been said here, I just wanted informed opinions and experiences to help me in my decision. Actually, the 5 year MS program at UCSB is pretty attractive since I plan on eventually getting a masters in chem eng. sygyzy: YHPM

    UCSD vs UCSB

Hey all, I've just recently been accepted to UCSB and UCSD - Muir college for chem eng and want your guys' opinions on which school to go to. Here's my dilemma: UCSB has a better ranked Chemical Engineering program compared to UCSD, but UCSD has a better ranked overall engineering program...

Physics Question. Come all ye physics people

I think it's the force of eddies created when a boxy shaped object travels through air. The eddies curl around the far side of the box and force the piece of paper to "stick" to the box of matches. Would this experiment need the paper to be almost the same size as the matchbox?
