Finally got my OCZ memory OCZ3G1600LV6GK
Interesting that the BIOS detects it as 1066.
All I changed was the memory ratio to 6 which should put the memory at 1600mhz and it booted right up. :laugh:

Looks like you have a similar setup as mine. What do you have set in your BIOS? Your memory timings, ratio, all set to auto? Overclock anything at all?
Also do you have the power supply plugged into all 24 pins of the 24-pin connector and all 8 pins of the 8-pin power connectors on the mobo...
Everything was on auto/default from the start. Its when I decrease what auto shows that I get it to boot. When on Auto it puts the 'Memory Ratio' to 5.
I tried changing the 'Memory Ratio' from the lowest 3 to 4. See screen shots:

Hello, system is locking up, curious what you guys are using for X58 BIOS settings.
I recently sold my Core 2 E8500 for a decent amount and decided I would upgrade to i7. Found a guy locally that would come close to Newegg's prices so went for it. (memory brand was his suggestion)
