Around the same time Dual-Cored Pentium 4 has a reasonale price. Around later 2006 to 2007
Or when AMD Sempron gets 64 bit.
If Sempron never gets 64 bit, neither will Celeron.

I don't think 64-bit is that important right now. It will take a while before all programs abandon 32-bit processors and become fully 64-bit. Then we may even see newer ones like 128-bit! :)
I hope they have at least a chance of beating the AMD processors. I like AMD, but it seems boring when only one company is the leader for such a long time. I like competition. :)
Newegg are now selling the new Pentium 4's with 2MB L2 Cache
They are identical to the 5xx pentium 4's except of their 2MB L2 Cache and they are all 64-bit processors.
They are dubbed with the 6xx numbering system. I wonder how they perform.
They are around $200 right now, which I find...
My final decision is
AMD Athlon 3500+
1Gb of Value RAM
2 x 250Gb HDDs
and a combination of the stuff you all recommended.
Thanks everyone.
There is no longer a need to pose since this marks the end of this thread.
I 'll go with the powersupply you suggested to. Basically, i'll go with ribbon on everything except the graphics card and processor. I wanted a 3500+ and ATi seems to have a pretty good deal on their card
Thanks Ribbon for helping me out. :)
