I have another question for ya. I also noticed that the 20 pin main plug is larger than the 300w PSUs . Is it because of the higher wattage? What would be the cutoff point where the smaller plugs are used in watts? The reason I ask is I have some older boards I would like to make workstations...
I recently purchased an nForce590SLI board and while installing noticed that the 500w PSU I had bought had a 6p PCIE plug, yet the board has an 8p PCIE socket. Most of the PSUs only have a 6p so how exactly are you supposed to plug a 6p into an 8p? Reminds me of the square peg in the round hole..
