    I went ahead and changed the battery as per ASUS tech support. They told me to give it a few days and see what happens. If it does it again they are gonna send me a new one.

    I need to correct myself there. It has not done it in the past few days. But I am afraid that it may do it again. If it does istead of racking my brain would it be worth just getting am RMA?

    It isn't the bios chip. Could it be a bad cmos battery? That is the only thing I can think of.
