There is a web site dedicated to quieting your PC. Its called Silent PC review and they have a list of recommended fans.
I second the recommendation of SilentX fans by JBDan above. I too only use these fans in my rig and can personally attest to their virtually silent operation.

For me the case has to be three things...
1. First it must hold my present and (presumed) future gear.
2. It must have good airflow to keep things cool
3. It should be quiet in its stock/original form.
The CM Stacker is a good choice - upgradeable to BTX form, holds lots of gear (up to...
The nice thing about the Sonata case **IS** the way the hard drives mount...sideways. The configuration allows the drive cables to be ran though the case in a fashion that virtually eliminates the usual air flow restriction caused otherwise. Useing round cables in the 18" size allows for an...
I don't know... but they are sure 'proud' of the "C" version as they go for around $50 more than the lesser versions.
Prices should drop quickly though as just 2 weeks ago they were charging a $100 premium for the "C" version.
Did your read the Anand Tech review of the Iwill?!? He says it is as stable as the MSI Turbo and the Asus AV7-133. The torture test that Anand puts these MBs through is WAY more torture than most any home user will ever approach.
You'll probly get more milage out of a Iwill KK266 as it will handle (with a simple BIOS update) the upcoming Palomino CPU... see overclockers article on this matter here.
The Asus AV7-133 probably can't handle the Palomino, & I think the MSI Turbo is in the same boat, but I'm not sure.
The reviewers agree on the Iwill KK266 as the better mainboard.
See Toms hardware review here
Anand Tech review here
Also a few notes... Unlike the Iwill KK266, the Asus AV7-133 will NOT be able to handle the upcoming Palomino CPU due to voltage/amperage issues of their weaker voltage...
You'll get more milage out of an Iwill KK266 as it will handle (with a simple BIOS update) the upcoming Palomino CPU. Go here to read the overclockers.com article. Asus simply won't be able to handle the job.
The Iwill KK266 was a favorite at Toms Hardware linktified

To TungFree:
upcoming motherboard with the 266 FSB and the 2 sets of ram (sdram 3 slots and DDR ram 2 slots) will be using the A1 or the A0?
I was referring to the KT133A chipset. The KT133A will NOT do DDR ram. In regards to the DDR chipsets, Via is supposed to be coming out with one but...
I suggest you check 2 things...
1. Like 'Boonesmi' said check the power supply, go here to see list of AMD recommended power supplies for the AMD Thunderbird 900Mhz.
2. Check your IRQ resources and your use of Microsofts ACPI power management...As part of its drive to take control of...
The problem may well be Windows use of ACPI power management. ACPI can appear to have a performance hit if too many peripherals are forced to share just ONE IRQ. One user, running Windows 2000 on an ABIT KA7, had six devices sharing IRQ 7 - including his video and network interface card. After...
The Iwill KK266-R uses the AMI RAID controller yes...Iwill claims that they did this because of the lack of support for good quality RAID mirror/stripping on the other chipsets. The AMI chipset allows for the user to mirror THEN stripe, thus preserving your data and then backing it up, not vise...
