I tried to install Win 2K on a system with an Asus A7V MB. It kept reporting no bootable media found or errors on the hd. Run chkdsk /f etc... I'm using the onboard Promise IDE controller for the hd. Has anyone got this to work? A7V MB Bios A7V1009 40GB WD 7200 ATA133 HD 3D Prophet Geforce...

I get a delay of about 30 seconds after config.sys and autoexec are loaded. I changed the msdos.sys gui boot delay to 10. No effect. Anyone else seen this? System: A7V Bios 100? 700 Tbird 20Gb ATA100 Maxtor Win 98SE

I've put in 2 fans, one in front, one in back. Under load, the MB temp is 30C, CPU is 48C. The fans definitely help the MB temp. Thanks for the info/advice everyone. Dr. Hemlock

The only fans in the system are the CPU and the power supply. I'm trying to scrap up a 120mm fan to put in the front to see if that helps. Thanks for the help, Dr. Hemlock

Sorry Mike, I miss read the question. I didn't remove the plastic cover, but the system came with the heatsink already mounted.

I'm using a CoolerMaster, not sure of the model. I haven't removed the thermal pad on the HS.
