Yes I already have a 17" CRT and I don't like the fact that it's so damn big. That's why I want an LCD Flat Panel. I don't mind about the gaming that much. As long as the game looks decent I'm ok. I just don't want a huge monitor taking up my desk space.

I am very much in need of a new monitor. I want either a 17" or 19" and if possible under $300. My case is silver so it would be nice to get a silver monitor but that's only if it's available. Also, I want a flat panel but I understand that they are not as good for gaming. Is this true? Any ideas?

Well the PS is brand new and supposedly if it shuts off, it's a safety feature. I also know that it adjusts the fan speed as necessary. I noticed that everytime that it shuts off, it is pretty hot when I touch it. I'm guessing that maybe the fans aren't adjusting properly and the temperature...
