Sounds like you got lucky! I have had many usb devices, maybe not the one you're mentioning but they've always given me issues. I spent 35$ on a dual band internal card and tripled my speeds

I currently have 2 670s powering a 2560x1440 monitor. they have worked okay but I miss single card option at a higher strength. I am considering a 780ti but cannot decide if its really worth the 700$. Although I could probably get 200$ for each 670 both non-reference one gigabyte one asus...

yeah, I'm aware that your fps should drop but like you said not that significantly. which is why i am posting! :D the terrible quality of the MOBO does not allow Overclocking unfortunately or else i wouldve bumped the multiplier, since it can probably get 3.8-4ghz without a voltage increase...
