I have the option of getting a Xeon E5-2658 from work. Clock speed is low compared to i7 options but it has eight cores. Will be worse than i7 (such as i7 3770) because of the clock speed?

I just ordered a 430W power supply (Corsair CX430 V2) for my new build, and I realized that it provides only 1 PCIe connector whereas the Radeon 7870 I want requires two. Will my card work properly without the second connector?
What exactly is the difference between sequential read speed and burst read speed? Which is more important? Also how does a 16mb cache affect performance compared to 8mb?
It's definately possible to do this. I've seen even seen a setup with 3 19inch LCDs, but I believe it needed a special video card to be able to do this. I saw a few photos of it playing some recent games. On all three screens.
I don't know exactly what you would to do to get it to work though.
