Just wanted to thank you guys for all the help. It took a bit of work but I ended up getting the onboard to work with the dedicated GPU so I'm up and running. It's not perfect but it'll work for now until I decide it's time to retire my gtx 460.

Damn good question; I've never tried but maybe I'll get lucky and my board will allow both to operate at the same time. I'll start there b/c if I don't have to change anything that would obviously be the easiest and quickest route to take. Thanks.
