Might be a video card problem. Reseat your card and check it on another computer if you haven't already. I had a problem like that on my ECS k7s5a, got 8 beeps which equals a bad vid card.

Grr... The computer started working for a while but then the video gave way and it froze while I was setting the date in the bios :( Now I get the 2b error code again and no video is shown on my screen. So does 2b mean vid card is screwed?
