Robor, you picked a great day to begin service, as this is the email I got this afternoon:
Dear DOOZERM,
Thank you for sending us an email.
SunRocket is currently experiencing a service disruption in certain areas. This issue is causing a limited number of customers not be able to...
I feel your pain Robor..... Their CS is not the best, and PATIENCE is the best way to deal with those idiots, although you really should be dealing with the sales folks for this issue. Actually, try dealing with those idiots while your wife yells at you about not being able to make a phone call...
1. Caller ID works as it should. My wife and I love SR's caller id because if you wish to override what is sent by the local exchange carrier, all you have to do is put the person in your contact list and update the name accordingly. My parents caller id says 'Mom & Dad'....
2. Do they...
Ridefree & Others - As promised, SR sent the note saying the problems have been fixed. It was quite informative actually. Here is the note:
Dear DOOZERM,
This week, SunRocket released two network fixes which addressed some quality issues you may have experienced. The first fix addressed...
I just saw a post on dslreports that someone from California was having this problem, and I live in SRs homebase (Vienna, VA), therefore it does not appear to be localized.
Ride - Will do
George - As a techie, I too would love to know the cause. But, as long as they fix it, I'm a happy camper. BTW, it is our first, and its going to be a BOY!!! :D
Georgepa, Sorry to tell you that it is STILL going on.... I did however get a note from SR support today:
Dear DOOZERM,
Thank you for your email to SunRocket Member Services!
We apologize for the inconvenience.
This sounds like a problem that has affected some of our other...
Hi Georgepa - I hope you don't get the issue.. My wife is ready to kill me, since we just got rid of our Verizon POTS. The incoming logs shows the calls as coming in, and the outgoing logs as well for the outgoing calls. It is just that instead of hearing ringing on the outbound, or when you...
Yeah, I got the same firmware "upgrade". All it does is turn the Silence Suppresion off. Which technically is not a firmware upgrade, just a firmware tweak. I sent a note to support myself and they claim they are aware of the problem and that for some people the "upgrade" has fixed the problem.
Yep, that is what I am talking about - at least on the outbound calls. On the inbound, callers will call and you will pick it up but it is dead air, and the person calling you gets dead air as well. Lately, this has been happening to quite a few people... and the complaints are starting to pile...
Hi all. I (along with a small following of others at the sunrocketforum.com site) are experiencing a high number of 'dead air' calls, both inbound and outbound. Just curious to know if any of you are experiencing this as well. I think people are posting this issue as well over at dslreports...
I've enjoyed reading the vonage customers comments on dslreports about the new vonage charges. There are a bunch of vonage users who are thinking about jumping to SR now, due to these rediculous fees.
tomtrike - I get the echo. I've found some numbers get it all of the time. More often businesses - who have these "special" phone systems installed. It adds more delay to the roundtrip - hence the echo. It also depends on your network # of hops. The more hops, the more delay. I read somewhere...
