Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition

I recently bought the black one. Cable management is great. It is kind of heavy in addition to being huge. The five external hotswap drive bays are nice having only one power connector for all 5 bays. The three 200mm LED fans work great and the LED's can be all red, all blue, all green, fast...

    HTPC RC/IR Power On/Off

I haven't had mine for long so I don't know everything about it. I do know it will shut a pc down since I have accidentally shut mine off a couple of times with it. I can check and see if it will turn it on. I just did a new build and haven't used it with this pc yet.

Veris EZ will do it pretty inexpensively. You can also program other remotes for it.

    ASUS Maximus V Gene question?

The specs on their website say that it comes with AI Suite II. That has an Auto Tuning feature that will OC for you in Windows. It took my i5 3570k 3.4 up to 4.4. You can also tweak things with it manually to get the OC higher.

Can't boot up new build - "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media"

Go into your BIOS and set it to recognize the SSD as an IDE drive and it will boot up. The BIOS is probably set to AHCI. I had the same problem.

2x ASUS GTX 670 Direct CU II will arrive tomorrow. Will they fit in my CM Storm Scout

Post a picture of them once they are installed. I'm probably not the only one interested in seeing how they fit.

    Explain to me fan headers

The MB fan connectors have four pins and it is made so that a three pin fan connector or four pin fan connector can be plugged into it. According to that pic, there are four of these connectors to run four fans.

    Cooler backplates & Sticky pads

Double sided foam tape. You don't have to peel off both sides. It is an insulator to keep the solder points on the motherboard from grounding out on the CPU coolers metal back plate. Just peel off one side and stick it to the back plate.

[DONE] Building a PC in 3 months, need your help. [Final Cost $1500] :)

Another good reason why you shouldn't spread out the purchases. Some things can arrive DOA or partially functioning and you would not find out until much later which can cause problems in getting an RMA from the place you purchased it at. Save the money up then you can charge a purchase, pay...

Building PC without case or tech station

I hope you don't have any pets running around. You might consider picking up an old used case on craigslist or something really cheap. You are risking some serious damage that could end up costing you much more in the long run if something happens. Ever heard of Murphy? He has this law. If...
