hmmm, tried that, and it did open once by its own power, but now its back to doing nothing again. I don't think its the power supply, thats new too (Fortron 350)... Could it possibly be because its E-IDE? Is there some bios setting that will help me set up this beast? (Abit IS-7)

I just built a new computer and the cdrw shows up in the bios, but when I try to put in a cd, the button just seems to have no effect. If I use the "paper clip" trick, I can get a cd in, but when I try to boot from it, it doesn't read it... Did I install something wrong? I can't imagine the...
