but the point is, the hardware did get magically faster... with dual core. the driver offloads plenty of geometry and other graphics processing off onto the CPU, release 80 moves that to the second core, leaving the first free for the basic game and physics calculations etc.

isnt C51 the a64 integrated graphics chipset theyre working on? and G72GL is probably the 7800 ultra, the one to be released after r520 - or they might call it 7900 to make it cooler ;) and INQ said something about release 80 to support SLI between 2 cards with the same chip but not identical...

ok, its an interesting argument, but it doesnt help my problem... assuming my HSF is in right and my temp monitor is just fine, what else can i do about this issue? and to get a winnchester 3500+ to about 2.6ghz, how much voltage should i have to use?
