Grab an XPS M1710, it will be cheaper, and still be powerful. I would say you could get a top of the line one for 2500 if you look around. I love mine. Lans have never been easier!

wow, thats an amazing deal. After looking a bit, I believe it is discontinued and I cannot find much info on it. You should ask them if you can try it out with a computer in the store to test the response time and quality. I would keep an eye on that.

Hm ok, I really don't have anything else I can upgrade within my system for the time being, but after reading your reply, I think maybe a 518 would be unnecessary. Thanks for saving me a few bucks! :D

Use an app called Ultramon. Works like a charm. Make sure you set the monitors to Dual View (in the Nvidia drivers) if you have an Nvidia card, dunno what its called for ATI. (Dual View by itself will do what you want it to, but Ultramon works well for other dual monitor stuff too.)

I currently have an MX510 (800DPI) at 1000Hz, and am wondering if switching to the 1600 DPI MX518 would be worth my time/money. I would not want a G5 or any other mouse as I just dont like the feel as much as the way this line was made. What do you think? Thanks! Dan
