R9 Fury Cards go on sale...and gone

Of course, I basically started the thread to voice my disappointment because I would have liked the chance to order one. I wonder how long we'll need to wait to see the "next wave", and then past that, I wonder how long before the price comes back down to MSRP.

R9 Fury Cards go on sale...and gone

I'm going to take a wild guess that they didn't exactly ship a lot of volume with this launch. That, or the demand for $650 video cards is significantly higher than I expected.

R9 Fury Cards go on sale...and gone

Looks like Newegg had them for about maybe a grand total of 5 minutes. All models sold out, looks like some early adopter taxes have been applied too. Didn't matter much apparently, as noted, they're all sold out already.

Catalyst 15.6b Batman Arkham Knight optimizations

By the way, for the people having issues, I have an i7-3770k with 16 gig of RAM and a 290X in uber mode with the latest AMD beta driver (released yesterday), and the game runs like a champ for me. That being said, of course I didn't enable the NVIDIA features in the graphics options. Just...

R9 290X and R9 290 Owners Noise Discussion (Most Important Question)

Got my 290X in today. Going to start off in uber mode and see if I can work my way down from there. Will definitely report in on my "real world" experience later.

    GTX780 features vs R9 290 series?

Well, I certainly didn't expect the R9 290 to show up with an insanely loud fan. I think I'll wait a couple of weeks to see what the OEM's come up with, see what the new 780 Ti does to the market, and then decide between the R9 290 and the GTX 780.

    GTX780 features vs R9 290 series?

Follow up to my own question, have we seen any benchmarks showing a benefit specific to 4 gig of memory verses 3 gig on the cards?

    GTX780 features vs R9 290 series?

I'm strongly considering upgrading to either a R9 290 or a R9 290X. I will admit I am a bit of an AMD fan, but I'm also trying to look at the best value and so I'm also considering the GTX 780. Of course "best value" is a little crazy in this price catergory...I digress. I re-read Anandtech's...

    R9 290x availability

Yeah, I'm also interested in a 290/290X (obviously the 290 isn't out yet). No luck finding either in the US for myself so far. I know the AIB versions will have better coolers, but I'm ok with stock too. But first someone would have to have it in stock.

Will AMD Steamroller be their Sandy Bridge?

The big question remains...does AMD have the resources to compete? I hope like hell they do, but I suspect that they don't. The rise of ARM cpu's worries me that we may well soon end up in a world (we're already there aren't we?) where Intel is the only provider of workstation class CPU's...

Will AMD Steamroller be their Sandy Bridge?

I imagine we'll get some increase, but I'm prepared to be disappointed. I've been an AMD fan since the first Athlon CPU's came out, but Sandy Bridge finally convinced me to go back to Intel. We all benefit from actual competition...imagine what Intel is holding back based on AMD's lack of...

How to disassemble an Asus x202e?

Sure enough, with all the screws off, the bottom has to snap off the casing. I found pulling it from the edge closest to the screen was the easiest. Thanks for the suggestion!

How to disassemble an Asus x202e?

I recently purchased an Asus x202e notebook (windows 8, 4 gig of ram, ivy bridge cpu, touchscreen, etc). I'm looking to replace the included hard drive with an SSD drive, but I can't figure out how to take the notebook apart. I removed all the screws from the bottom of the casing, but the...

How is the Nvidia HDMI Audio in Windows 8

Relevant details...Intel i7-2600 cpu, a Gigabyte Z77 based motherboard, 8 gig of RAM, 64 bit OS...running the HDMI through a Yamaha receiver into my Samsung 1080P LED tv. No difference plugging directly into the tv by the way, and switching HDMI cables makes no difference either.

How is the Nvidia HDMI Audio in Windows 8

I've got recurring HDMI audio skipping issues with my AMD 7950. This has happened ever since drivers newer than Catalyst 12.4 under Windows 7, and continues with my fresh Windows 8 install (and the Catalyst 12.10 drivers). I've been a loyal ATI/AMD customer for years, but this issue is...
