Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

Thanks. Because of your first idea I bought a second hand gtx 680 which has the nvidia equivalent of virtual super resolution. It works. The GPU is downscaling 3282×2017 to 3280×2016 which gives the blurry effect that I was after. More details, also for future reference: It works in windows 10...

Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

I forgot to reply to this. Good idea, I've seen such a thing once, but it's not like that. I can read text from almost any angle. When I look at the screen from a normal position the colors in the corners are off (too dark and too much blue). When I look straight at the pixels in the corners the...

Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

Thanks. How new does the card have to be to have upscaling for my resolution?

Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

Okay, I understand. I don´t know if I have this specific problem with other screens. In general I dislike most flat monitors. At work I use an LG flat monitor. It´s okay to use as long as there is enough light. When it gets dark outside it already starts to hurt my eyes a little even with the...

Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

Yes, I tried some cleartype settings. It doesn't affect text in browsers and some other programs so I would like to have blur regardless. I don't know why you recommend an eye exam. I'm 26 if that matters. Okay. The display is Barco mdcc-6130...

Question Which GPU has high resolution GPU upscaling? (or fullscreen blur)

I have a radeon HD 6970. I'm trying to use GPU scaling to upscale lower resolutions to my screen's native resolution of 3280×2016 but it doesn't always work. Upscaling 2560×1440 and lower works. When I try to upscale any larger resolution the setting automatically changes to "centered timings"...

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

Yes, why is this even required? Does the CPU detect a maximum current or something? If that could be manipulated it would be pretty good, but I would also be afraid it could damage the CPU. There may actually be good reasons to set such limits. Unfortunately intel confuses us with unnecessary...

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

After hours of trying settings I have the modification working on an e5 4667 v3. Here are some of the problems that I encountered and how I solved them. Maybe it's useful for someone else: 0. Does the motherboard work with this CPU? My motherboard is an ASRock X99 Extreme4. The used CPU does...

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

There's going to be EPYC as well for dual socket systems which is basically threadripper.

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

Sorry if I'm mistaken but as I understand this thread about getting CPUs to run at their turbo speed all the time. ES versions have significantly lower turbo clocks so you can't get that high. Otherwise how would that work?

What controls Turbo Core in Xeons?

I'm interested in this idea to "overclock" V4 xeons by changing (such as entirely removing) microcode in the bios. I'm trying to get an idea of what is even going on in this thread. What happes when the same trick that works for the V3 cpus is applied with a V4 cpu installed? Is it just that...

Looking for an owner of AMD Threadripper 1950X

Edit: I don't actually need this benchmark anymore. Hello everyone, I am interested how this CPU performs in fractal extreme, which is software that I used to use, to get an idea of how fast they are with this kind of workload. There is a benchmark tool available here...

Hello everyone, I am interested how the mentioned CPUs perform in fractal extreme, which is software that I used to use, to get an idea of how fast they are with this kind of workload. There is a benchmark tool available here: ftp://cygnus-software.com/pub/InfprecPerf.exe I would be...
