    THANKS for the firmware link Bob/NYC If you have NTFS drives a Win98 boot disc won't be able to read them. The Lite-On site says the executable contained in the R32XS0U.zip should be run in WINDOWS.....all this talk of drives damaged after flashing has got me a bit paranoid...I'd like to do...

    this is just a thought...if you have a coupon code buy the drive on line......then go to a B&M buy another drive without a coupon..you can hunt for the serial ya want........install the drive you just bought....wait for the drive you bought on-line to be delivered.......return it to a B&M

    I just tried to order a drive by phone using a coupon I found online...they asked me if I was So and So...I said no and was told I couldn't use the coupon cuz they are not transferable.....I have searched Google, joined mailing lists and read this thread many times.....how to get the additional...
