Just tried the gamma settings in control panel and they didnt work for games

I have a GE Force 2 GTX 64 meg card that is always dark in all the games that I play. I play Everquest, Anarchy Online, and Quake 3. In everquest there is a gamma slider that I can crank up to full so that I can see fairly well, but in Anarchy online there arent any Gamma options. If someone...
