A8N-SLI DDR 500 a8n sli why does it go auto?

I fully understand how minimal the increase in performance is likely to be for the exact configuration I'm trying to reach. I simply want to know why the BIOS doesn't allow me to use those particular memory dividers in this particular case. The reality is that I can run 200 mhz (DDR 400) at...

A8N-SLI DDR 500 a8n sli why does it go auto?

Nope, moving it to 333 doesn't cause the problem. Do you fully understand cool n quiet or have you never used it? The default multiplier for this CPU is 9. The muliplier is lowered to 5 when idle by cool and quiet and raised back to 9 when at load. If you manually change the multiplier in...

A8N-SLI DDR 500 a8n sli why does it go auto?

I realize I can move the LDT to 250Mhz or anywhere between 200 and 250MHz. The problem is that I want to run at 9x multiplier so that cool and quiet can still be active. At the 9x multiplier I can't get anywhere near the 250MHz without severly overclocking the CPU. I want to know WHY the bios...

A8N-SLI DDR 500 a8n sli why does it go auto?

These URLs show you a similar BIOS screen to what I'm discussing http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/JustAnAverageGuy/CIMG1806.JPG http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/JustAnAverageGuy/CIMG1807.JPG Note those pics are from a Premium and I'm working with a Deluxe so the HT voltage and chipset voltage...

    *** Official ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe (nForce4) Thread ***

Dunno, Seasonic isn't going to want to replace it so long as you are above 11.6V as the ATX 2.x spec allows for 5% under or over. I'm also running that PC at stock speeds (no overclocking) so the voltage usage is at the minimum I could possibly make it without cutting case fans. I'm...

    *** Official ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe (nForce4) Thread ***

You can have sufficient Amps and be low on Voltage for the +12V rail. I'm not using the tuner card you have but I can vouch for the Seasonic Super Tornado 400W being sufficient for a 3000+ CPU, 6600 vid, 2x CD, 5 80mm case fans, etcetera. Under full load it gets into the 11.8x range on the...

    Psu for A8N-SLI

I wouldn't even consider using the Asus A8N with anything less than 18a on the +12v rail and a 24 pin connector. It'll cost you more in the short run but I'd recommend a Seasonic power supply. If you never ever plan to use 2 video cards (SLI) then you can get away with a Super Tornado 350...
