Thank you very much for the info on the information on the 1333 CPUs Gary, as this is my main concern. E6600 will hold me over and get handed down to the lady when the 1333 CPUs appear :)
Found from a poster on HardOCP!

it appears Bearlake is upon us :)
I wonder how long until other companies release their motherboards based on bearlake
yea I imagine there will be a high price for initial release, and of course the BIOS will likely have to mature and work out the bugs. I may just order a board tonight on the Egg, keeping in mind their 30 day return policy :)
I've been looking at bearlake chipsets out soon as well, and they're an interesting bunch. While I hope and imagine they would offer comparable or better performance, I really wonder what price point the varying p35 boards will be set at.
after some tips and reccomendations I'm looking at the Gigabyte Ds3 and DS4, as well as the asus p5n-e SLI. The thought of the Evga 650i ultra is on the backburner as a cheap alternative. Any thoughts are welcome!
Hah, ya there's nothing wrong with SLI so I won't rule out SLI capable boards. They just generally carry a price premium for a feature I'm not overly concerned with. Do boards like the gigabyte ds3 support future processors with 1333 fsb?
what do you all think of the Evga 650i Ultra board? It seems to have a decent feature set, although minimalist, but the lack of proper northbridge and southbridge coolers concerns me. These boards seem to overclock well in reviews, I'm just wondering if the temperatures on north and south bridge...
Hello all, I'm putting together the final pieces of a longed planned system and was looking for some reccomendations on a solid motherboard.
I am looking at a fairly simplistic gaming machine with many features not being needed. I don't ever plan on using SLI, or using RAID. That being said...
I havent checked under the hood in my case very much yet, but apparently dell PSUs are no longer proprietary and can be replaced with aftermarket parts. Thanks for the tip on the external PSU, i'll look into that as well :)
I tried the latest nvidia forceware drivers but no dice. I'm really hoping it's the power supply. Not sure about power supply specs (as im at work atm) other then its a 305watt psu
$220 and it came with a free copy of supreme commander. I know the 8800gts is a better deal, but this case only fits single slot cards so I had the mid range dx10 in mind.
Hey everyone, I have a dell e520 and just last night dropped in an XFX 8600gts xxx. The video driver fails every so often in games.
The machine runs Aero just fine and works with WoW perfectly (frames will be at 60fps with details maxed at 1680x1050) except for the occasional video driver...
