GB6 locked with affinity to a single Z5 X3D core with SMT enabled
HWinfo cant keep up with such a bursty workload, so average power usage it out the window, but max draw was ~15.7w with 2 threads enabled on a single core accoring to hwinfo

Not that hard, ive ran multiple Zen5 cpus above 6 ghz (on watercooling)
Stock PPT limit for a 7950X is 230w, not 250w
And they scale way past 300w as long as you can keep the temps in-check, something lower vmax will help alot with
My Epyc 4585PX runs 5.7 ghz stock :innocent:
But yeah i fully...
Lisa Su herself presented a slide about Epyc Venice detailing a 1.7x improvement.
Given the expected 1.34x (256 vs 192) core count increase that leaves roughly 1.275x improvement from IPC and clock.
Suddenly we're above that +25% performance increase per core you call "hope and dreams" 😅
To...

Windows already can have scheduling problems with current gen, on both AMD and Intel, and this is a much easier sheme since its either all P-core on two different dies (Zen5) or a mix og P and E cores on a single die (Arrow Lake)
Nova Lake will take the issue to a other level with a mix of 3...
Remember to take your salts and everything
Do we have any confirmation that its the Zen4 team thats responsible for Zen6 ?
My take, Zen6 will win everything thats not embarrassing parallel and Nova Lake will comsume 350-400w when tuned to actually have decent cinebench performance
Very few...
Chip is fully unlocked (on regular public bios)
It act 100% like a normal 9950X3D, CPU-Z even reads it as the same stepping.
The only reason why i bought it is because i wanted to check if the cores/CCD's were better binned then a normal 9950X3D.
But haven't really started tuning the cores...
