    Hacking a Jeep

Anti-lock breaks are computer controlled. A tone ring on the end of the axle that sends a signal through the computer to the ABS system. Cars that can automatically park themselves already have most of the engine functions including throttle, breaks and steering controlled by the computer...

    Question about unusual gun

There is more benefit to lightening the slide than just cycle time. The better benefit is in less mass sliding back and forth. Less mass moving around means less total movement of the gun in your hand which means less time to acquire the next sight picture and break the shot. This gun...

GOP House fights for the Canadian economy

The following link lists pipeline leaks starting in the year 2000 all the way through 2015. No idea how complete this list is. I've copied and pasted only a few of the oil spills for just the first couple of years. Who knew that one little bullet hole could cause $13 million in damage...

    YAGT: OMG I love guns

I don't much agree with those rules either, they are odd. I am there for the competition, not for the hardware. In fact, I probably wouldn't even own one if it wasn't for competition. If the rules were written that a DA/SA had an edge, that's what I'd use. To each their own though, it's not...

SAO aren't illegal. Before each stage the Range Officer will tell you when you can load the gun, set the safety and put it back into your holster. Then you'll let him know when you're ready and wait for the tone. When you hear the tone, you can draw and start running the course. After you're...

I shoot USPSA fairly regularly. Though I haven't shot in production class for a while, my choice is an M&P Pro in 9mm. I prefer the ergonomics of the M&P over Glock and CZ style gun. Mine is box stock except for the rear sight and I can shoot it almost as fast as my 2011. Glock and CZ are...

    YAGT: OMG I love guns

For muff type hearing protection, I use Howard Leight L3. They're comfortable enough and they seal around my ears really well. Actually one of the best as far as passive hearing protection goes. Only problem is they are large, so, I can't use them with any long gun shooting. And, I can't...

Responsible gun owners don't have to brandish their guns or fire warnings, right?

Was this in response to that chic that went to prison for firing a warning shot? If I remember right, her ex broke into her house and was about to attack her, so, she fired a shot in the air instead of shooting him and went to jail for it. Edit: Link Here is an article about it 20 Years

Different weights do feel different, but, really only noticeable when firing quickly. For example, I've found in competition, 9mm 115gr JHP to be too snappy and 147gr JHP cause the gun to cycle too slow for my tastes. When at the range and I have all day to line up the sites for the perfect...

KKM or Storm Lake make barrels for M&P. I have not tried either one, mine works well enough. But, I have heard good things about the Storm Lake barrels from people who use them.

I had an M&P Pro that did the same thing. I had to raise the dot over the rear sight channel. Called S&W and found the had the installed the wrong sights on it. I just ordered and installed new sights that were correct for the gun.

World's first 3D printed metal gun

Here is a vid from the Philippines. People making guns in their back yards. Doesn't show a whole lot, but, the point is that they aren't that hard to make. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fna9WEO6BjE

    Handgun advise

Now that you know you enjoy shooting, you should go to a range that has rentals and try several of them out. Or, find friends that have different models to try. See what you like before you just spend some money. Lot's of different models out there and everyone has a personal preference...
