I talked to a guy from AMD one time and he told me that their TBird CPU's are able to survive sustained temperatures of 200F. I don't know about that but, I've been running my 1700+ @ (11x138) for 2+ weeks (24/7) w/out any problems. The temperature usually stays at about 105F using a...
The Dragon Orb 3 is unbearibly loud. I couldn't stand it! I've also tried the SK-6 but, even that was too loud for my likes. Finally I bought a Volcano Cu+ w/ a 4200 fan and it works great. The noise is very low and because the XP runs so much cooler than the TBird I haven't had a thermal...
Maybe the switch is going. Here's the test...shut your box down and then unplug the switch from the board. Does it turn itself on after that? If not, I'd say you found the problem and you can replace the case or the switch itself. If that doesn't fix it....hmmm?

I have an aluminum case (Lian-Li PC-68) and it dissapates heat like nobody's tomorrow. I won't lie, it was very expensive but, worth every penny. The temp in my case ranges between 30-50 C w/ my Tbird 1.33 overclocked to 1.55 My room is warm but, the case stays pretty cool. Check out...
Try removing one of the RAM chips, perhaps one is damaged or maybe even the DIMM slot itself. Also, give us some info about what parts you are using to build the rig.
My friend has this router and loves it. The fact that it's only 10T doesn't seem to bother him too much. His first one was DOA and my "wired" version doesn't support Neetmeeting w/ another Linksys user unless you go on the DMZ. Not sure what that says 'bout the product.

I wouldn't buy any drive from Creative. I've owned 3 and they've all died around 8-13 months. I have the Pioneer 16x slot now and will never go back to a tray. This thing kicks ass, you won't be dissapointed.

I just got one of those Pioneer slot DVD's - will never go back to tray again. You might want to consider a Kyro video card, I pick one up for $20 less than the Geforce MX from @ newegg.com
Here are my Sandra scores....
CPU 4145/2042
CPU MM 8072/10113
MemoryBench 619/746
I don't know how to get the CPU temp under load, I got my temp under the "CPU/BIOS Info" tool in Sandra.....
