I would like to run currnet games at 1680x1050, but dont have to. I remember reading somewhere to only get the 640 if gaming at 1600x1200 or above. The main thing is I am looking for the best performance per dollar. I dont want to succumb to the law of diminishing returns.

Why go with a E4300 or E6600 vs the E6420? I figured I would spend a little less on the 6420 and add the cooler to overclock to about 3.2GHz.
