One of our PCs here at work is coming up with "unable to load mmsound.drv. Please reinstall Windows." I've tried commenting out the entry in the System.ini file that loads this driver, and I've tried replacing the mmsound.drv file with one from a working computer...neither has worked...

Yep, I've tried the 128 alone, the 128 with 2-32's, and just 2-32's...all of which boot in Win98 but give me that same blue error screen while trying to load Win2k. The only way it seems to work is if I have the original 2-32's in all at the same time.

I have 3-32meg dimms in my system (96 total). I just got in a stick of 128megs. I can't boot to Win2k using any combination of these dimms except when I have in the 3-32megs. It comes up to a blue screen. For example...1-128,1-128 + 2-32, 2-32, etc won't work. Only when I have 3-32megs in can I...

I just installed Windows 2000 and was wondering how I change the drive letter assignments of my cdroms? In Win98, you could do it through Device Manager, but even when logged in as Administrator in Win2k, there isn't a drive letter assignment option in Device Manager...at least that I can find...
