I did the math, and if you take the 3yrs plan in order to get the 12% discount, you still end up paying more. (I don't think DELL is THAT stupid). So 6% was fine enough for me.

is it unlockable for region free ? Does it play PAL (4:3 pull-down) ? indeed, I watch DVD's from all over the world, and DIVX/XVID too. How about the new codec h264 ? does it play those too ?

if you really think this through, it doesn't make much difference. 4.75% is 1% higher than regular interest (3.75%). 1%APY , over 4 months is roughly equal to 0.25% return. This only on the money that you have added, not the whole amount you have on that account ! so, pretty much nothing...

indeed much better picture. You can connect to your TV using svideo or composite cable. Really easy. I dont know about this unit though. I may try it, its a good price.

actually I will pass on this one. I would be more interested in the equivalent with a wifi connection, to access a media library on the main server, instead of having to burn and swap cd's. Anybody knows a good one ?

an other question : does it matter if the DivX is on a data CD or data DVD ? I know it works with data CD, but I am not sure these players support data DVD to play mp3's or DivX movies.

can I use this windows copy on an other system ? How decent is the PSU if I want to upgrade the video card ? tempting.
