You won't have any compatibility problems using the 3Com NIC's with either the LinkSys or NetGear. Are you sure those devices are Switches, or Hubs, I am not familiar with NetGear or LinkSys making switches, but I do know they have HUBS. In Which case I would recommend setting 2 NICS into one...
