problem solved... I had hoped it wasn't that but... my older 66GT simply died on me... I switched the cards, and now everything works fine (except SLI since the old card isn't working)...

I have two 6600GTs in SLI and I played with them for a while until the problem happened. So the story is, at one point I started my computer and when i got into windows, i received a message saying that there wasn't enough power going to the Cards, therefore the chip was modifying its power...

Well... it started when i installed Civ 4 but it continues (even after i've uninstalled the game)... so I checked and apparently for some people, it worked fine after they uninstalled the new drivers... personally, for me its not a big problem since it happened only once in the two weeks i've...

yea tried several browsers on several of my computers... also tried my account on someone else's computer and it worked...so it must be my firewall or something along those lines... anyone know how i would go about fixing this? i'm really clueless when it comes to ports and stuff

I'm using Firefox 1.5 and Google Talk is down too...everything else works... i mean i can even read my e-mails using Google Desktop sidebar (dunno if its up to date tho)... Google Homepage works, I can log in to...

I got a 6600 GT... i run at 1024x768 with everything maxed out and 4AA and it runs fine...I've seen lag sometimes but they were isolated with nothing much happening (like the end scene) so I believe this had to do with the fact that I had about 30 other programs running and one of them started...
