on air cooling, sure.... i mean, im looking at this: 128 L2 on my celeron vs. 512k on these proc. 400mhz fsb on celly vs. 533 on these p4s... plus, isnt p4 better dynamics-wise than the celeron...? edit: i know amd is superior, but im looking for a semi-budget upgrade, hopefully for...

i mean, running games at 1024x768 is fine for me, i just want a decent frame rate for once.... remember im upgrading from a celeron, the crap of all existence...

hey guys...im thinking about getting a new processor for my abit sg-72 sis645 chipset mobo...most it can take is 2.8 p4 i think, but anyways...i got a 6600gt but i cant even run hl:2 at a decent 30 fps!! im guessing its my celeron, with 128kb l2 and piss poor fsb... the real question is, what...

ugh...i also cant even keep a steady 30 fps on hl:2 single player. for such a powerful card, im feeling kind of disappointed...

Slithery - it is agp. it sucks that its running so hot stock, kinda limits the potential for oc'ing :/

thanks guys...it is idling at 55 degrees now, after getting a couple fans in my case... it goes up to about 80-82 max under load, but usually stays around the high 70s on average, under load... the only thing im wondering, i run visualizations on my computer all night, is keeping it...

whats the highest temp i should safely run it so that it wont cause damage to the card over a period of time?

ok, another question guys... i just bought this xfx 6600gt, and the card WAS idling in the mid-to-high 60 degree mark...i bought a $5 proc fan from radioshack and threw it in the bottom of my case, now its idling at 62/63.. still too hot. i read it should be idling in at least the 50's...

i was just wondering, how does the card know when to run with a 2d clock (300 mHz) or a 3d (500 mHz) clock speed? i was jw if i should just change all the speeds to 500... i just wanna make sure its running at at least 500mhz. [EDIT: also asking because rivatuner showed the clock at...
