TMO lit up LTE yesterday for most of manhattan???

I'm on tmo prepaid, and LTE is up and running in northern NJ on my nexus 4. Reception inside seems a LOT better.

PSA: If you regularly buy your cellphones 2nd-hand, stolen phone database is now LIVE

It doesn't. To be honest, I worry more about someone selling a contract phone and defaulting 2 months later, you have no way to check it out ahead of time, and no recourse through any means after 2 months.

    Price increase question

Reducing prices can save you if the demand is highly elastic.

Game of Thrones - TV Series (NO BOOK SPOILERS)

Tapatalk lied to me, and showed me a post about the audiobook as the last post, this is in response to that. I can no longer find it in the thread. It may not have ever existed. Roy Dotrice, the narrator for books 1-3, also read book 5. He has since gone back and reread book 4. You can...

    If you love your country...

The moonshine part of the show isn't really moonshine, but the cop part is real. My wife found an article about it last week and totally rained on my parade. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

    Homebrewing Tips and Tricks

I use the same technique. Fairly painless, and by now it's just automatic what gets dunked and when. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk

What is the best 120hz monitor? I am leaning toward samsung

The A950 will do 120hz in 2d, same as the A750, but it only works over DisplayPort or Dual DVI cable (A750 actually only works over DP). The T-versions of these monitors are the gimped ones that will not to 120hz. Just make sure you get the S versions, S27A950D/S27A750D/S23A950D/S23A750D, all...

    Sony NSX-32GT1 (32" / 1080p / 60Hz / LED) as a computer monitor?

Only a few TV's actually have 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, which is a requirement for good text display of a PC image. And when you cross reference 4:4:4 with low input lag, you get an even small number of available solutions. Right now, it comes down to getting an IPS LG via panel lottery. If...

    Best Super ZOOMER Till now?

I have never been a Sony fan, but I bought the HX100V and I'm very happy with it. FYI, it uses a USB3.0 cable, SDHC memory, and a standard Sony camera battery (lots of generics available).

    Sony HX 100V

Bought this a few days ago, and haven't really run it through its paces yet, but early thoughts are: 1) Zoom stability is very solid. Only blur I get in an image is when I focus the wrong thing, even at 30X zoom. 2) The video is AMAZING. It blows me away every time I watch a clip. The...

    Logitech G35 Headset

If it's the same wire as the G5 mouse, I would agree, worst wire of all time. I have the G930 headphones, which are essentially the wireless version of the G35's. Sound is solid, but the wireless functionality is outstanding.

    Question about "wireless" printers.

Usually if it's a CAT5 printer it will say "network printer" or something of the sort. A wireless printer implies the printer can occupy a node on a router via wifi, and print that way.

Looking for a printer that has cheap refills - mostly for black and white

There's a deal for a remanufactured Brother HL-2170W at Staples right now, I picked it up for $50 after coupon and rebate. Care of Slickdeals.

    Small HDTV as a monitor?

Other than thickness, I'm not sure why people need to have LED. You would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a CCFL and an LED unless its a local-dimming LED, which no sub-1000, sub 37" screen will have. I have tried a lot of different 32" TV's as a computer monitor, and the...

    More tower defense please!

Desktop Tower Defense is my personal favorite, some of the higher level challenges are downright ferocious.
