but the 64 clock speeds are only 2.4 ghz and i have heard of only getting it to overclock to 2.8 i would get a HT p4 instead it will run smoother. what you are wanting to do will not take advantage of a the 64 bit...
good point but hes just wants a internet email word processing computer so it should work i have bulit 3 sys with 2100 and a p4 it works just fine for Word interent and email
here are a a few things you can try first make sure it is jumpered correctly the hard drive will have a chart of what it should be jumpered at. or you could reformat the drive or remove the cmos battery and unplug it from the wall for about 1 to 2 days these might help
