Yeah...the manual that was included with my mobo has that setting misprinted. I downloaded the PDF document manual and sure enough, it was the correct way.
Well, the wierd thing is, that when it reboot,s it freezes and i have to hold the power button down to get it to restart properly. Then when i go back into BIOS the steetinsg are back to default.
I was reseting my CMOS today and forgot to put the jumper block back on pins 1 and 2 (save settings). Now it wont power on or anything. The only way to get it to power up is to put the block back on pins 2 and 3 (clear cmos). This is the pits because it erases the BIOS settings after each...
Gone are the days when I was immpatiently waiting the retrieval of huge files on an external EPP ZIP 100 drive. It's gone...sold! My Sony CRX140E 8x4x32x CD-RW hath buried the sluggish drive. CD-RW media is alot cheaper (based on price per mb) and less vulernable to wearing out like ZIP...
Im looking for a keyboard for a Systemax TS301 laptop computer. The ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the motherboard became kinked and damaged a few of the buslines. I called the company and they said that they sell replacement keyboard for $100.00. Im not too fond of paying that...
I have in front of me, a pentium CPU. I cannot figure out the core speed, however. on the metal plate it says:

I've been searching for a mobile Celeron 433 or 466 for several months now. My laptop currently has a PII 333 running on a 33mhz FSB. The slower FSB limits my options and I believe the mobile Celeron 466 is the fastest CPU
I can upgrade to. The form factor is Deschutes/Dixon. Anyone?
hmmmmmm....good question. I have been planning on netwroking my laptop and desktop together for quite some time now. I was wondering about the USB connectivity myself. What I'm probably going to do is buy a 10/100 PCMCIA NIC since I already have a 10/100 NIC in my desktop. If I hear anything...

Finality: 2000 shots/sec? Where did you hear/see this? When I bought the MS Intellimouse Optical with the second generation sensor technology, the back of the box still said 1,500.
My point exactly. With the first generation sensor, it would still track at 1/2" off the surface. Now it stops tracking at about 1/4". In all, thats what the second generation optical sensor is about.
