    MSI K7T Turbo CMOS problem!!!

I was reseting my CMOS today and forgot to put the jumper block back on pins 1 and 2 (save settings). Now it wont power on or anything. The only way to get it to power up is to put the block back on pins 2 and 3 (clear cmos). This is the pits because it erases the BIOS settings after each...

Does anyone actually use ZIP drives anymore?

Gone are the days when I was immpatiently waiting the retrieval of huge files on an external EPP ZIP 100 drive. It's gone...sold! My Sony CRX140E 8x4x32x CD-RW hath buried the sluggish drive. CD-RW media is alot cheaper (based on price per mb) and less vulernable to wearing out like ZIP...

    deciphering this pentium speed!!

I have in front of me, a pentium CPU. I cannot figure out the core speed, however. on the metal plate it says: intel pentium w/ MMX tech and on the underside it says: intel pentium w/ mmx tech FV80503233 SL27S/2.8v MALAY L7312710-0264 From that, I know the core voltage is 2.8v. But I'm a bit...

in search of: a mobile Celeron

I've been searching for a mobile Celeron 433 or 466 for several months now. My laptop currently has a PII 333 running on a 33mhz FSB. The slower FSB limits my options and I believe the mobile Celeron 466 is the fastest CPU I can upgrade to. The form factor is Deschutes/Dixon. Anyone?

    Direct cable conection using USB

    optical mouse clarification

Finality: 2000 shots/sec? Where did you hear/see this? When I bought the MS Intellimouse Optical with the second generation sensor technology, the back of the box still said 1,500.

    optical mouse clarification

    it's a camera with a CMOS chip. =) Takes a snapshot of the surface @ 1,500 shots/sec (dubbed "DPI")

    optical mouse clarification

My point exactly. With the first generation sensor, it would still track at 1/2" off the surface. Now it stops tracking at about 1/4". In all, thats what the second generation optical sensor is about.
